Snooker vs Pool Elimination Rules
This is based on WWE's Classic Survivor Series Elimination Match
Each team may have have 8 players, If you have less than 8 players the match will still go ahead but you will be at a disadvantage (ex. If you have 3 players and they have 8, it will be a 8 on 3 elimination match).
Throughout the competition you will have a fixture drawn randomly with a player from the other team. If one team only has 1 player they must play all members of the opposition in no order, the match continues until one team has been completely eliminated (scroll to bottom of page for more information).
Format is 1 frame of Arcade, Regular, Original, 8 Ball US, 9 Ball US and 8 Ball UK. Deadline for each game will be 2 weeks (or 14 days). You may concede frames however that type you conceded goes to your opponent. First to 4 frames sends you through so you can stop when someone reaches 4.
If the game is tied then both players can go through to the next stage.
Game Room conditions can be agreed by the players (e.g time limit, ranked/friendly etc), if no agreement can be arranged then the game will be Private, Friendly and 20 Seconds.
Failure to play a fixture will see both players disqualified (not the team unless one team has one player), however if the match is one sided then only the player who didn't make any effort will be disqualified.
The way this Elimination Match works is the winners of the first stage go through to the second stage and the process continues until one team has been completely eliminated so even though you may have lost in the first stage your teammates can save you if they eliminate the opposition.
First Stage:
For this stage only both teams are allowed one substitution (this means once you sub someone out for the replacement then no more subs can be made), this is in case one of the members has Family/Internet problems. If a game has started no substitution can be made.
The substitution then has to take part in rest of the competition and the person who was subbed out has to wait for the outcome. From the second stage no substitutions may be made so this would be the same as an elimination.
Play your fixture in the format at top of the page against your designated opponent, Win/Draw your fixture will send you through to stage two, Lose your fixture and you will be eliminated (Only the player is eliminated not the whole team)
Ex:
Player A vs Player B
Player C vs Player D
Player E vs Player F
Player G vs Player H
Player I vs Player J
Player K vs Player L
Player M vs Player N
Player O vs Player P
Second Stage:
If you win your First Stage game you will go to the Second Stage, only winners from the first stage is allowed to take part. Any combination is allowed except 8 vs 0 in which case the team who has 0 players would be completely eliminated. Fixtures are done randomly except in the circumstance of 7 vs 1 in which case the 1 player has to play all 7 of the opposition in no order until either team is eliminated.
Ex:
Player A vs Player D
Player E vs Player H
Player I vs Player L
Player M vs Player P
The winners then go to the Third Stage unless one team has been completely eliminated.
Third Stage:
Same as Stage Two however only winners from the second stage is allowed to take part.
Ex:
Player I vs Player D
Player M vs Player H
Fourth Stage:
Same as Stage Three however only winners from the third stage is allowed to take part. This is the sudden death round so whichever player wins this stage wins the match for their team. A double disqualification at this point will see no winner.
Ex:
Player M vs Player D
Odd numbers:
In the case of odd numbers on both sides (even would be 3 vs 3, 5 vs 5 etc) then matches will be filled for the number on the enemy team and any players left out would get BYES so they get a week break.
For this example lets say it is 2 for Team Snooker and 3 for Team Pool with the players slatty and banana for Snooker versus mich, dvz and beenjammin for Pool.
Fixture would again be drawn randomly however in this case since the lowest number is 2 it would be set up as a 2 vs 2 with 1 Pool member getting a BYE.
Ex:
banana vs mich
slatty vs beenjammin
........ vs dvz
One Teammate/Enemy Remaining:
In the case of a single survivor on either team (for example 5 vs 1) then the player with the 1 gets to decide the order they play opponents but must eliminate all the opposition to win before being eliminated themself.
For this example lets say it is 3 for Team Snooker and 1 for Team Pool with the players dgeneratio, r1p0m4n and banana for Snooker versus dvz for Pool.
dvz would get to choose the order he plays dgeneratio/r1p0m4n/banana
Ex:
dgeneratio vs dvz
r1p0m4n vs dvz (if dvz beats dgeneratio)
banana vs dvz (if dvz beats r1p0m4n)
If dvz beat all 3 opponents he would win for Team Pool, but if dvz lost to dgeneratio, r1p0m4n or banana then Team Snooker would win
